Team 7B Announcements

Welcome to the Team 7B Announcements page. If we have something to tell you, it will either be here or it will be sent to you via an email through Skyward, or sent with your child. Sometimes all ways!! Please remember, that if you ever need to get in touch with a teacher for a specific subject issue, you can contact us at our school email. If you need to speak about something general, please contact your child's advisory teacher. If you ever want to schedule an appointment to meet with the team, please contact either your child's advisory teacher or me, Toni Brandt (Team Leader) to schedule it.
Please make sure you're signed up to view your child's grades through Skyward. If you have questions about how to do that, please contact the main office, and they can walk you through it. The first step is to have a current email address on file with them. Please make sure to update that email address, as well as phone numbers if there are ever any changes.
Here are the email addresses of each of your child's Team 7B teachers:  Toni Brandt, Science [email protected]
Maxine Gray, ELA [email protected]  Karmen Vavken, Social Studies [email protected]   Tabitha Coleman, Math [email protected]    Jon Pavlik, ELA [email protected]

Homework club has begun on 7B. All students are invited to stay after school for homework club, Monday through Thursday from 2:45-3:45. There is a 4:00 bus for anyone needing one.
It is a place where students can get help doing their assignments, but can also be a good place for students who may not need help, but just need a place to do their homework, for whatever reason. Students have access to Chromebooks that they may not have access to at home, so that may be a reason for your child. Whatever the reason, Mrs. Coleman is the coordinator for our Homework club, and our expectation for any students who attend is to work hard, regardless of what the work is that they bring to the club on any given day.
Sometimes we will require students to attend homework club, based on needs we determine throughout the year. Parents may request that students attend homework club as well. Please contact your child's advisory teacher if you feel that your child should attend homework club on a regular basis. We will then send a permission slip home, so we have a record of your request, and we'll know to expect your child to attend. We'll also let you know if your child is not in attendance, through either an email or phone call. If we're expecting your child to attend, and you need them to go home, we ask that you either send a note, or email your child's Advisory teacher or Mrs. Coleman to let someone know they won't be attending on any given day if they're required to stay.
We encourage students to make mature decisions with regard to homework club, and we have told them that there is no invitation necessary. If they feel a need to stay to get some work done, or to ask for help, they are more than welcome to do so.
Welcome to the new school year!
